The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival is a truly unique event that brings together great beer (and other drinks), live music and an atmosphere like no other, set in the dramatic settings of one of South Yorkshire’s most iconic local landmarks.

Inside the festival you’ll find something for everyone – from live music performances, to sampling one of the most diverse ranges of beers, ciders, wines and gins available anywhere in South Yorkshire!

Run exclusively by a dedicated team of volunteers and generously supported by local businesses. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting the work of our chosen charities: Rotherham Cancer Care Centre and The Magna Trust.

Whether you’re a seasoned ale enthusiast, or just looking for a great night out, expect to find something for everyone. Alongside our choice of over 150 beers, wines, ciders and gins, expect to find a packed entertainment line-up showcasing wide range of talented local bands and musicians.

Support by great food, an atmosphere like nothing, all within the unique settings of the Magna Science Adventure Centre, prepare to enjoy one of the best social events anywhere in South Yorkshire.

Supporting the local community

Since 1992, the Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival has raised thousands of pounds to support the work of good causes across Rotherham and South Yorkshire. Our festival is entirely volunteer-run with all profits are donated to local charities and community causes. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to help us – find out more here.

Our Story

Since its beginnings, the Rotherham Real Ale & Music Festival has grown into one of the region’s most popular events of its kind. What started as a local initiative has developed into a well-loved annual festival, attracting visitors from across South Yorkshire and beyond.
